Fun Times

We have been keeping nice and busy lately. I have been working my normal days and Zachary is enjoying his time spent with his friends. Yesterday, we went to a birthday party. It was for Clare, who turned three. Zachary was the younest kid at the party but he was right in the mix with all of the 'big' kids. He even got to eat a cupcake! Well, it was really a quarter of a cupcake because I am THAT mom who doesn't let her kid eat a whole cupcake.

Now that the weather is getting nicer, sort of, we have been trying to play oustside more often. Zachary loves to be outside. The cold weather does not seem to bother him but I am happy about the warmer weather! I can't wait for summer when we can fill up a little pool and hang out outside all day. So fun!

Zachary is learning more each day. He is 'talking' a bit more these days. He says: "babba" when asked if he wants one, "up" when he whines for us to pick him up and we tell him to say up, "ha" when asked to say hi and "Uh Uh" when asked to say Uh Oh. He also knows the sign for 'more' and uses it in context most of the time. Sometimes I'll pass him food while I am driving if I am trying to keep him awake or if I know he is hungry. I'll look in the mirror to see how it's going and I can see him doing the sign for more. I LOVE it! He blows kisses now too, which I also love. Last night, Chad taught him how to tickle his tummy. Now, when you say 'tickle, tickle,' he tickles his tummy. SO cute. He is walking all of the time. No more crawling. Our baby is growing up. It is great to see how qucikly he learns new things. He continues to be a very happy, curious, active and laid back boy.

We are leaving for a five day trip to Florida on Saturday. Zachary and I are going to Palm Beach with Lisa and Quan. It should be fun. I'm a little nervous about the flight just because I always am but hopefully all will be well. I can't imagine what the person sitting next to us is going to think when he or she sees us coming with two one year old boys. Poor soul. I think Zachary will be fine on the plane. Famous last words, I know.
